Hello and welcome to our new weekly series, ‘The Week’s Best Deals in Gaming’. This series does what it says on the label, lists some of this weeks best bargains in the world of gaming. Each week we will scour Amazon, Steam, and whatever other places we can to find the biggest discounts and most awesome bundles on offer. 

This week we see 33% off two hot action/rpgs, an indie rpg that’ a bargain at normal price drops 20% and a survival horror on console loses 50%.

Mass Effect 3 (PS3 and Xbox 360)  – $39.99 on Amazon (33% off)

Ending aside, this Mass Effect 3 features some awesome action/rpg gaming at a lightning pace. The console version also doesn’t have you deal with the Origin client, you can just play the game. If you have the first 2 and don’t yet have the third now is your best opportunity. The game has come down $20 (33%) this week fo an undefined period of time, so grab it now!

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PC) – $40.19 on Steam (33% off)

If you are a Day[9], Felicia Day, or a fan of other major video game streamer you have probably seen Kingdoms of Amalur a fair bit already. The developers had the clever idea to pass the game around to a bunch of the community leaders in the world of gaming so that they could play it for their fans. It got quite a bit of buzz and actually turned out to be a pretty fun action/rpg. If you wanted to get this game but weren’t sure about spending $60 on it nows your chance. Be quick though as the deal ends soon!

Avernum: Escape From the Pit (PC & Mac) – $7.99 on Steam (20% off)

I have put many hours into indie developer Spiderweb Software’s Avernum. I haven’t played Escape from the Pit yet but it is based on the same engine and has all the same things that the first one did so it’s bound to be just as awesome. This is an old school, party-based rpg like they used to make them in the olden days. I highly recommend checking it out. Be quick though, as this deal end five hours after this article goes live (although it is a bargain at normal price anyway).

Resident Evil 5 (PS3 and Xbox 360) – $14.99 on Amazon (50% off)

I bought this game when it went on sale for $20 and I was impressed. The RE games aren’t the same type of survival horror games they once were but what they have become is still quite fun. RE5 showcases plenty of battles with overwhelming zombie hordes, insane boss battles and some clever puzzles. Best played with a friend.
